A Granduncle's Wish

Thank you for visiting Quinnlin's fundraising page through the Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF).  As you probably know, we've been planning for a long time for Quinnlin's transplant - all on the heels of her brother's transplant in March 07.

We're grateful for the opportunity for Quinnlin (that wasn't available for us for Gage)  to be a client of the GTF Transplant Fundraising Program that allows us to fundraise for transplant related costs not covered by our insurance. Quinnlin's transplant surgery was a success on September 29, 2009 - also her birthday! We have started the process of monitoring and very hopeful that her body will not reject the kidney anytime soon. She avoided the need for dialysis, like Gage suffered.

A deposit from our family will start this account. When Quinnlin was an itty-bitty baby, her Granduncle Charles Harding (maternal side) requested that in lieu of flowers upon his death, donations be made to support the kidney transplant costs of his great niece and great nephew. He was just that kind of man. It is with honor that make sure his wish is granted, with the help of GTF.

Through this special account that we are eligible for, we will receive matched funds up to $10,000 for every dollar raised, which will be used to cover her transplant costs not paid by our insurance. We have until June 22, 2010 to raise these funds.

We thank you, and GTF thanks you for your support. We thank you for always being The Village that surrounds us with your compassion, care and prayers.

Love,

Julia & Julian

Fundraising is a matter of life and death for some transplant candidates, and a matter of quality of life for others. Your generous donation will help this client’s endeavors to assume self-responsibility for his or her medical needs by fundraising.
